Animal shelters are providing a great service to our societies. They provide temporary shelter, they find permanent loving homes, vaccinate and provide medical care, they educate children and adults and they help to reduce the number stray animals and their incredible suffering. In most countries the shelters completely have to rely on donations to finance their activities as they do not receive any governmental funding.

There is an estimated number of 600 Mio. stray animals in the world. These strays suffer from exposure to extreme heat and cold, malnutrition, diseases, violence and abuse. In addition to this endless misery they also cause a huge economical damage as strays are responsible for the extinction of around 60 species globally. Furthermore, they can spread diseases which are also dangerous to humans. There are plenty of reasons why the work of animal shelters is so important to societies all over the world.

The idea to start the 600k Animal Shelter Project was born while working and supporting a Greek animal shelter during the last three years. We spent some time in our vacation to clean the cages, walk and entertain the dogs and support them in many other ways such as financially. During this time, we realized what a difference can be made by a private animal shelter. So we decided that we want to support more animal shelters and not only in Greece but everywhere in the world. This would also provide the opportunity to learn about their work and the challenges they face.

Now the mission and goal of the 600k Animal Shelter Project is to collect 600.000 € from Sponsors to fully donate it to Animal Shelters globally. We will travel 600.000 Miles around the world to visit theses Animal Shelters and learn about their important work.

The Sponsors will in return get the possibility to present themselves on the 600k Animal Shelter Projects Social & Professional Media Channels as well is in every Publication we are doing in all different Media. Therefore, we need many followers who like and share our story to make our Channels very attractive and successful.

All cost will be covered by us privately. So you can be sure that every single Euro donated will find its way to the animal shelters. This a more than a non-profit project as we will donate our money and time to make it successful as well.
